My husband pays me $100 per week to cook and clean for him full-time

A woman who quit her job to be a tradwife has revealed that her husband pays her $100 each week to cook and clean for him full-time.

Alyssa ‘Aly’ Dee, 28, met her future husband, Tom, 51, when they were both working in the military.

But after they got engaged, she decided to put her aspirations on hold and left her profession to instead focus on taking care of him and their house.

She explained to Truly recently that she made the decision because she felt like Tom ‘wanted her to pay a little bit more attention’ to him.

Aly now spends her day cooking, cleaning, and doing other household chores while he’s at work, and he pays her $100-a-week in return.

Despite nasty comments from online trolls about their situation, Aly insisted that she’s much ‘happier’ this way, and recommends that all women follow in her footsteps.

‘My husband employs me to take care of the home,’ she told the publication. ‘It’s the best job I’ve ever had. I would probably be considered on his bankroll, he pays for my living.

‘I encourage other women to pursue the same dynamic for their future financial success.’

Aly, who has been with Tom for two-and-a-half years now and is pregnant with their first child, insisted that it was her idea to stop working.

‘I didn’t even know I wanted a traditional relationship. Honest to God,’ Tom added.

‘Until I got into a relationship with Aly I didn’t even know how wonderful having a traditional relationship where there were gender separations was.

‘I provide a home, protection, and provision. What I ask for in return is support and a clean house so that I can go out into the world and focus on the external world.’

Tom explained that he started giving Aly $100-a-week so she could treat herself to ‘snacks and coffee,’ as well as an occasional shopping trip.

‘We got rid of all her credit cards, and we opened up new credit cards under my account and so now I can see all of her purchases,’ he revealed.

‘She really doesn’t ask for a whole lot of stuff that she doesn’t need, she’s pretty financially disciplined.’

Aly said she enjoys not having to look at her bank account or worry about finances, and prefers to leave all of that to her husband.

She added that their set up is much better than her having to work an ‘actual job’ with a boss who ‘doesn’t care about her.’

‘The alternative is going to an actual job with an actual boss. Keep in mind that’s a man that doesn’t care about you,’ she stated.

‘[After] you clock out, you’re not on his mind. He would fire you tomorrow, my husband is not going to fire me tomorrow.’

Aly often documents her lifestyle on YouTube, where she has over 182,000 subscribers.

And she said people often make unfair ‘assumptions’ about her and call her names like ‘lazy’ or ‘uneducated.’

She also revealed that she’s been accused of being a ‘gold digger,’ which Tom thinks is ridiculous.

‘She asked for $100 a week, what kind of gold digger wants that?’ he quipped.

‘There’s also a lot of positive comments from women who feel like they’ve finally been seen,’ Aly added.

‘It’s the positive comments that I get from women that really let me know that I’m doing the right thing.

‘Some women these days, they’re just completely content to follow the leadership of an employer that doesn’t care about them.

‘I just want women to know that they have other options out there.’

In the end, Aly and Tom insisted that following traditional gender roles has only strengthened their romance.

‘You’re never going to take away the genetics and the biology of it,’ Tom added. ‘I am masculine so I’m able to go out and provide the resources, and I feel great.’

‘I think most modern relationships aren’t happy, men act like women, women act like men, and when they get together they have a really unbalanced dynamic,’ Aly concluded.
