Wife of Irving Azoff allegedly subjected female housekeeper to ‘sadistic’ sexual assault campaign

The wife of an ultra-powerful music producer inflicted horrific sexual abuse and torment on her female housekeeper, a bombshell lawsuit claims.

Rochelle ‘Shelli’ Azoff has been accused of ‘gender violence, sexual battery’ and ‘sexual harassment’ against ex-live in maid Rosa Martinez, according to court papers seen by DailyMail.com.

Azoff is the wife of Irving Azoff, a legendary producer who was labeled ‘the most powerful man in the music industry’ by Billboard magazine in 2021, after working with artists including Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi and The Eagles.  The couple are worth an estimated $400 million.

Rochelle Azoff allegedly targeted Martinez with ‘cruel and sadistic’ attacks which are said to have included spanking Martinez, squeezing her breasts and burning her with cigarettes.

Martinez was also forced to clean Azoff’s sex toys and smell her employer’s soiled nightwear, the suit alleges. Azoff is further accused of making Martinez, who is a size 14, squeeze into a size 10 outfit. DailyMail.com have contacted representatives of the Azoffs for comment.

After complaining about the abuse alongside unpaid overtime, Martinez claims the behavior escalated to up to three times a day in retaliation.

Rochelle’s husband Irving is also named in the lawsuit.

Martinez claims he knew about the sexual assaults occurring in his LA mansion and failed to step in.

The industry titan is also accused of having prior ‘knowledge that Rochelle Azoff had sexually battered, abused and harassed other victims’ in the past.

Frank Kim of KimLegal, a Los Angeles-based law firm who are representing the housekeeper, told DailyMail.com: ‘My client believes that Rochelle enjoyed it. She was in complete control throughout the abuse… she believes it was like a game to her.’

Rochelle Azoff first allegedly began her reign of terror in April 2022, around four months after hiring Martinez as the live-in housekeeper for the LA-power couple.

But after falling out over alleged unpaid overtime and Rochelle’s demanding schedule, she then retaliated with ‘cruel and intimidating behavior’ that was ‘often sexual in nature’, the lawsuit claims.

Forcing her housekeeper ‘into submissive obedience’, the abuse allegedly included spanking the housekeeper and pinching her cheeks until she teared up, court papers say.

Azoff also routinely summoned the housekeeper and stripped naked ‘for no apparent reason other than to ask (the employee) to complement her body’, per the lawsuit.

While in their luxury LA mansion, Azoff would also allegedly force the housekeeper to clean her sex toys, and smell her nightwear to decide whether to wash them ‘even though they were soiled with bodily fluids’.

Kim added that the abuse was able to continue for so long as there was ‘a power dynamic at play’.

‘Rosa was living paycheck to paycheck, and it was a job she really needed,’ he added.

‘My client felt that it was a game to her (Azoff), she knew that Rosa needed the job and wanted to see what she could get away with.’

Azoff allegedly escalated the abuse in April 2022, when she began sexually assaulting her housekeeper around three times a day.

On one occasion, Azoff allegedly approached the housekeeper and ‘violently squeezed her breasts’.

When she attempted to escape Azoff’s clutches, she allegedly referenced a previous housekeeper’s lawsuit for similar allegations, saying: ‘What, are you going to sue me for sexual harassment?’

Other claims against the media magnate’s wife include forcing her to wear a size 10 uniform when she is a size 14, and ‘looking at her with disgust’ when she cried.

Despite claiming to routinely feel ‘powerless’ to the assaults, the lawsuit claims the housekeeper did confront her, only for Azoff to have a sickening response.

After confiding in her that the inappropriate touching was especially triggering as she had been raped in the past, Azoff allegedly laughed in her face, before ‘pointing out that if she had really been through the pain of rape, she would be strong enough to endure her behavior’.

The next month, it is claimed that Azoff summoned the housekeeper to her bedroom while she was smoking a cigarette, before burning it on her arm ‘without saying a word’.

Notably, media mogul Irving Azoff is also named in the lawsuit, as it is alleged that he knew about the sexual assaults in his home, but ‘refused to take action’.

It is also alleged that he ‘had knowledge that Rochelle Azoff had sexually battered, abused and harassed other victims’ prior to the housekeeper named in the lawsuit.

In 2012 Irving Azoff topped Billboard’s Power 100 rankings and was named as the most powerful person in the music industry, before being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.

His fame and fortune contributed to the sustained abuse, Kim added, noting that Martinez said she ‘definitely felt intimidated by their status.’

Eventually, after over a year of alleged emotional and sexual abuse, the housekeeper told Azoff she was quitting.

The housekeeper claims she was intimidated into agreeing to stay until Azoff found her replacement, leading her to remain in the home for almost two more months.

During that time, another allegation claims that while the housekeeper was sitting on the floor of Azoff’s bedroom arranging shoes, she entered the room completely naked.

Then, ‘without any provocation or explanation, bent over so that her buttocks was immediately next’ to the staffer’s face, per the lawsuit.

After she recoiled, it is claimed that Azoff merely ‘walked out without saying a word’.

While feeling trapped and helpless within the home, the housekeeper says she left a note on Azoff’s bed pleading for her to ‘please fire me,’ after her attempts to quit were brushed off.

‘I can’t tolerate this anymore,’ she allegedly wrote. ‘My soul is crushed in a million pieces.’

At the end of June 2022, Rochelle Azoff finally told the staffer that she would accept her resignation.

However, she had one final condition for the housekeeper, allegedly only letting her go if she signed a separation agreement, which she knew she would refuse, or submitted to a strip search.

Faced with even more humiliation, she conceded and signed the severance agreement, something she claims was only agreed to ‘under duress’.

The court filing adds that after she finally made her way out of the home, Azoff ‘defamed’ the housekeeper to the agency she was employed with, claiming she had let the employee go due to poor performance rather than the ‘cruel and malicious’ abuse.

Mr Kim also acknowledged this and said Martinez had struggled to find employment ever since the agency let her go, and now ‘believes the agency dropped her due to the allegations from Ms Azoff’.

Alongside the shocking sexual assault claims, the housekeeper is joined in the lawsuit in a separate allegation by another employee, who claim Azoff misclassified them both as exempt from overtime in order to avoid complying with California labor laws.

Two allegedly confided in each other while working for the Azoff’s, after they realized they were often working double their agreed hours without overtime pay.

The second staffer says alongside her unpaid wages, Azoff never paid her last check, and allegedly attempted to get her to sign a separation agreement.

‘Presumably with the same threat’ that was placed upon the housekeeper, claims the lawsuit.
