Demonstrations continue in central Paris after the government passed the pension reform bill without a vote

Thousands of demonstrators flocked again to Concorde Square in the heart of the French capital, Paris, in front of Parliament, and their number was estimated at six thousand, according to the French police, to protest against the use of Article 49.3 of the constitution, which allows the government to pass a bill to reform the pension system without a parliamentary vote. Clashes broke out between some of the demonstrators and the police, as a result of which 12 were arrested.
