Tana Mongeau Unleashes On Aussie Tiffany & Co. After Jewellery Turned Her Finger Green

US influencer Tana Mongeau has come out swinging against an Australian Tiffany & Co. store, accusing the luxury jewellery brand of “poor craftsmanship” after visiting an Aussie chain earlier this year.

Mongeau — known for co-hosting the popular podcast, Cancelled — unleashed on Tiffany & Co in an eight-minute video posted to TikTok. “I’m well aware this is a champagne problem,” Mongeau said, “but it’s the principle”.

She went on to recall purchasing two rings, one of which was $1,000, as well as a bracelet, while visiting Australia for her podcast tour back in July.
The following day, Mongeau said she looked at her hand and “realised my brand new Tiffany ring has turned my finger green… I mean, Elphaba green”.
While she was able to return the ring “immediately” for a new one, Mongeau said she returned to the States only to encounter another issue with her $8,000 diamond bracelet.

“It’s bending out of shape,” Mongeau said of the bracelet’s clutch mechanism. “The bracelet is getting caught on everything because it’s bent out of shape.”
“This is where my money went?” she added. “Do not buy this, it is not worth the money.”
The final straw came late last month when Mongeau was trying on a dress and heard something fall off her body, only to discover it was the bracelet snapped in half.
“I look on the ground and in all of its glory; my Tiffany bracelet … it just fell off. I’m on the floor picking up my diamonds like it’s a jigsaw puzzle,” Mongeau said.
“I can’t believe they are charging $8,000 for something that is flimsy and worn down. It’s like costume jewellery,” she added.
Mongeau stressed that her gripe was not with those working at the Aussie store — who she described as “so sweet, so accommodating and so incredible” — but with the broader Tiffany & Co brand.
“Quite frankly, I’m going to be mad about this ‘til the day I croak,” she said.
In a follow-up video, Mongeau filmed herself walking past a Tiffany store and imitating a fake spit noise. It’s safe to say she probably didn’t go inside.
It’s not the first time a celeb has lashed out on a luxury Australian store. Just last month, US rapper Jelly Roll claimed on social media that he was treated like a “criminal” while visiting a Louis Vuitton store in Sydney during his Aussie tour.
Champagne problems? Maybe, but at least you can trust that a bottle of Veuve won’t snap unexpectedly. Actually who am I kidding, a bottle of Passion Pop.
