Chaired by Diaa Rashwan, the Board of Directors of the Information Service holds its first session
The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the State Information Service thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for his continued support of the Authority’s role as a national institution to carry out its media tasks at home and abroad, and for his recent issuance of his decision to form the Authority’s Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors, in its first meeting headed by journalist writer Diaa Rashwan, affirmed its appreciation for the efforts made by the Authority to convey a positive image of Egypt to international public opinion and to respond to counter and misleading propaganda. And correcting the fallacies that are raised in this regard, in addition to the role of the Authority as an information center that provides state agencies with everything published about it abroad, as well as launching websites and electronic applications in many languages to explain the facts about Egypt, its policies, and its positions to the world, in addition to the Authority’s role in the field of community awareness through its internal media centers.
The journalist writer Diaa Rashwan presented A comprehensive presentation to the members of the Council about the Authority’s activity, tasks, and publications, and data related to the Authority’s departments and employees, indicating that the formation of the Board of Directors has enriched the Authority with an elite group of the most prominent specialists in the Authority’s field of work, whom the President of the Republic’s decision included appointing them to the Board of Directors.
The meeting was held at the Authority’s headquarters in Nasr City, headed by journalist Diaa Rashwan, Chairman of the Council, in the presence of Council members. They are: Dr. Thuraya Al-Badawi, Dr. Muhammad Fayez Farhat, Nevin Omar, Muhammad Abdel Hamid Fahmy, and Abdel Muti Abu Zaid.
