Channel 10 AXES I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Channel Ten has reportedly axed I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.

The reality TV show is said to have been cancelled after the 2026 ratings failed to meet expectations, reported TV Blackbox on Wednesday.

Production company ITV are said to have been left scrambling to find a new home for the series after parent company Paramount made the decision to bin the show.

I’m A Celebrity, hosted by Robert Irwin and Julia Morris, opened strong in 2026 with 925,000 viewers, but ratings fell to 571,000 by the finale.

Daily Mail has reached out to Channel Ten for comment.

It comes following reports Channel Seven has been eyeing off Robert for a role with the network.

He is reportedly set to nab a gig as the host of this year’s TV Week Logie Awards.

Industry chatter is rife with rumours that Seven is hoping to poach the star from Ten, where he’s solidified his television appeal as the co-host of I’m a Celebrity.

‘Robert appeals to multiple demographics and has become incredibly valuable commercially,’ an insider recently told Sky News.

‘He’s someone networks believe could front several major formats over the next decade. This is no longer just about one hosting role.

‘It’s become a much bigger conversation about which network wants to build around Robert long-term.’

The claims come amid talk that with recent cuts at I’m a Celebrity, Robert might soon exit the jungle reality series.

The celebrity conservationist has also been carving out a global career after his recent winning stint on Dancing with the Stars US.

Robert will soon be seen in a Dancing with the Stars spin-off, which recently wrapped filming in Brisbane.

The Wildlife Warrior has shared a trailer for what appears to be a movie project called Max Impact.

In the brief preview, the Dancing with the Stars champ can be seen racing through a jungle setting in his trademark khakis.

‘Something epic is coming,’ he captioned the post on Instagram.

The TV host added, ‘I’m so excited to finally share what I’ve been working on… things are about to get wild.’

Robert did not share any plot details, but the trailer included the title card, ‘the threat is everywhere’, suggesting that the film might have a conservation theme.

Other images include a crocodile in the wild, a frighteningly large spider and a flock of birds in flight.

The trailer also includes a ‘starring Robert Irwin’ credit for the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! host.
