Concerning details emerge about Justin Blackmon arrest after ex-NFL star’s unrecognizable mugshot

Troubled former NFL star Justin Blackmon reeked of alcohol, was wearing wet clothes and couldn’t fit in the back of a police car when he was arrested for public intoxication at the weekend, according to reports.

Fans are concerned for Blackmon, who was arrested in Payne County, Oklahoma, in the early hours of Saturday morning, after a mugshot showed him looking worryingly different more than a decade since his NFL career was derailed by off-field issues.

Now TMZ Sports has revealed more distressing details about his arrest, which came when police responded to a call regarding a ‘larger black male’ laying on the ground at 1:32am Saturday.

When they arrived on the scene the ex-Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver had roamed into a campus building, before they quickly made contact with him.

Officers observed that he was unsteady on his feet and smelling strongly of alcohol while in wet clothes. Blackmon, who was said to be ‘slurred and confusing’, repeatedly them he was trying to walk home to ‘Stillwater’.

When told that was a town and not an address, he reportedly admitted to not living there while saying: ‘You got me.’ 

Two sets of handcuffs were used to arrest Blackmon ‘due to his body size and the girth of his wrists’, before cops were unable to fit him into the back seat of the police car.

A larger vehicle was required to take him to jail for booking and processing.
