Dar Al-Iftaa scholars explain the “rules of leasing” and answer citizens’ questions

 

The Egyptian Fatwa House continued to hold its fatwa councils in a number of mosques in various governorates of the Republic, in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Endowments, as part of its continuing efforts to spread correct legal knowledge, clarify the jurisprudential rulings that affect people’s daily lives, and enhance direct communication between scholars and the public. This week, the councils discussed the topic “Provisions of Leasing in Islamic Sharia.” With the participation of an elite group of fatwa secretaries at the Egyptian Fatwa House.

In Cairo Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, Fatwa Secretary at the Fatwa House, held a fatwa council at the Lady Fatima al-Nabawiyah Mosque, may God be pleased with her, in which he discussed the provisions of leasing in Islamic jurisprudence, and answered a number of diverse questions about bank profits, the ruling on the landlord giving money to the tenant in exchange for relinquishing the rented property, and some family problems. And marriage.

Sheikh Sayed Farouk, Secretary of Fatwa, also held a fatwa council at the Sayyida Nafisa Mosque, may God be pleased with her, in which he spoke about the definition of leasing and its importance, the ruling on leasing by giving, and the treatment of “road services”, stressing the importance of controlling financial transactions in accordance with the purposes of Sharia in achieving justice and facilitation.

And in Al-Firdaws Mosque in the city of 15 In May, another council was held in Cairo entitled “Provisions of Leasing” In the presence of Sheikh Ahmed Khalifa Hammam, Secretary of Fatwa, and Sheikh Hani Abbas Al Suwaidi, Imam of the mosque, the council discussed the legality of the lease contract and its elements, the difference between it and sale, the ruling on leasing ending with ownership, and financial leasing, in addition to some provisions for funerals and inheritances.

Zone 3 Mosque in the Dar Misr Al-Andalus Compound in the Fifth Settlement also witnessed a fatwa council by Sheikh Ahmed Abdel Halim. Khattab, Secretary of Fatwa at Dar al-Ifta, in the presence of Sheikh Islam Ahmed Abd al-Rahim, the imam of the mosque, where he answered the questions of the attendees that revolved around the rulings on old rent, the vacancy of a man, renting wombs, the ruling on taking a fee for reading the Qur’an, and other jurisprudential issues.

And in the Imam al-Hussein Mosque, may God be pleased with him in Cairo, Dr. Khaled Imran, Secretary of Fatwa at Dar al-Ifta, held a contract. A fatwa session was held in which he discussed the issue of preserving heritage and antiquities, and answered the audience’s questions related to the ruling on images, seeking blessings from the relics of the righteous, and the ruling on the presence of statues in homes.

Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Anwar, Secretary of Fatwa at Dar Al-Ifta, also held a fatwa council at Al-Hikma Mosque in the Central Plateau in Mokattam, in which he addressed the issue of the rulings on leasing, and answered the audience’s questions about the old lease, the extension of the lease contract, and the ruling on dealing with non-Muslims, in addition to questions. Various jurisprudential matters related to some prophetic and historical events.

In the Bilal bin Rabah Mosque in Mokattam, Dr. Mahmoud Shalabi, Secretary of the Fatwa, held a fatwa council during which he addressed a number of questions related to the rulings on prayer, such as the ruling on reading the Qur’an during congregational prayer, the order between prayers when making up prayers, and the conditions for the obligation of prayer.

Sheikh Mustafa Zaghloul, Secretary of the Fatwa, also held, A council was held at the Mastura Mosque in Mokattam entitled “The Theory of the Contract in Islamic Jurisprudence,” in which it discussed the rulings on disposing of money during life, the fair distribution between children, and the ruling on old rent and prostration of forgetfulness.

The Fatwa Council was held at Al-Tayseer Mosque at the Basateen Endowments Department, in which Sheikh Ali Qishta discussed: Fatwa Secretary at Dar Al-Ifta – The subject of the provisions of leasing in Islam, explaining the wisdom of the legality of this contract and the mechanisms for its use in accordance with the purpose of Sharia law of facilitating people and achieving familiarity and affection among members of society.

In the city of Shorouk in the Cairo Governorate, the Jurisprudence and Fatwa Council was held at the Tariq Bin Ziyad Mosque, in which Sheikh Sharif Hashem Abdullah, Secretary of Fatwa at the Egyptian Fatwa House, and His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Fawzi Salama, Imam of the Mosque, participated and discussed The council explains the importance of the lease contract as one of the most prominent financial contracts in Islamic law and its role in achieving justice and balance between the two parties, while responding to the attendees’ questions about the old rent, compensation for the waiver of the contract, renting places to investment banks, and repeated increases in rent.

In Giza Governorate, Sheikh Ahmed Saleh, Secretary of Fatwa at the Fatwa House, held a fatwa council at the Al-Sahaba Mosque in Mansha’at Al-Qanater, in which he spoke about the provisions of leasing and answered the attendees’ questions about rent. And in the Gharbiyah Governorate, Sheikh Ibrahim Abdel Salam, Fatwa Secretary at the Fatwa House, held a fatwa council at the Ahmadi Mosque in the city of Tanta, in which he addressed the issue of the provisions of leasing in Islam, explaining the controls and pillars of this legal contract, and emphasizing its purposes in achieving benefit and cooperation among people.

As for Assiut Governorate, Sheikh Hassan Al-Yadak, Fatwa Secretary, held a fatwa council in a mosque. Sidi Al-Majzoub, in which he discussed the issue of the provisions of leasing in Islamic law, and answered the questions of the attendees. Al-Baqli Mosque in Assiut also witnessed another council by Sheikh Hassanein Ahmed Al-Khasht, in which he addressed the practical issues of the lease contract and its provisions.

These fatwa councils come within the plan of the Egyptian Fatwa House, which aims to spread rational religious awareness, enhance the moderate understanding of Islamic law, and confirm the scientific and societal role that the house plays in guiding people towards proper legal dealings in their daily lives.
