Dr. Mohamed El-Badry, Egyptian Ambassador to Germany, confirmed during his meeting with Stefan Thomas, Minister of State at the German Ministry of Economy and Energy, that Egypt represents a strategic gateway for German companies to the Middle East and African markets, in light of its distinguished geographical location, the availability of qualified human resources and modern infrastructure.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to deepen economic and investment relations between Egypt and Germany, and enhance bilateral cooperation in the industrial, commercial and renewable energy fields.

 

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Badry stressed the positive performance of the Egyptian economy and the noticeable improvement in the investment climate in recent years, noting that the comprehensive economic reforms implemented by the Egyptian government – Which included strengthening financial discipline, simplifying investment procedures, supporting the private sector, and diversifying funding sources – contributed to creating a more attractive, stable and competitive investment environment.

 

 

Al-Badri stressed the importance of deepening the economic partnership between the two countries, especially in light of the close historical relations between Egypt and Germany, calling for increasing German investments in the Egyptian market, especially in the automotive industry sector and the areas of advanced manufacturing and energy. He stressed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening economic relations with Germany and providing all necessary facilities to German investors, praising the level of cooperation existing between the two countries.

 

 

He pointed out that the meeting comes within the framework of continuous preparation for the upcoming Joint Economic Committee meetings, in a way that consolidates the strategic partnership between Egypt and Germany and serves common interests. For the two friendly peoples.

 

 

For his part, Minister Stefan Thomas stressed that there is a political conviction in Germany regarding the centrality of Egypt and the importance of supporting relations with it, praising the remarkable economic development and serious reforms that Egypt is witnessing.
