Hollywood icon Emma Stone has revealed that she’s so invested in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) that she sacrificed her warmth by waiting in New York City’s freezing temps to catch a glimpse of Jen Shah.
During the sentencing of Jen Shah — who was convicted for her involvement in a nationwide fraud telemarketing scheme in 2023 — Stone admitted that she was one of many fans waiting outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of the RHOSLC star.
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. I am really invested. When Jen Shah was getting sentenced in New York, my brother and I waited outside for two hours in the freezing cold just for a chance to see her,” Stone told W Magazine.
“But I live in New York. We walked over there. Her getting arrested on camera was wild.”
Bronwyn Newport also got a shoutout from the Bugonia star, with Stone sharing, “You’ve never seen anyone dress like this in real life”.
“I was catching up on two episodes. They’re on a boat trip, and Bronwyn is wearing a life raft around her waist, but it’s part of her sailing outfit. Everything is sort of a costume. I love it,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Stone has openly fawned over RHOSLC — in fact, it isn’t the first time she’s shouted out Shah.
During the 2023 premiere of Poor Things, Stone told Vulture she’d froth it if director Yorgos Lanthimos created a biopic on Shah’s life. Honestly, we’d be totally sat for that, Shah Squad and all.
Elsewhere in her interview with V Magazine, Stone dismissed rumours she would be playing Miss Piggy in a movie, exclaiming the rumour was “the biggest insult” to the iconic Muppet.
“I will not have her name dragged through the mud like that,” Stone said.
“Why would I play a literal star? She’s the greatest. No, of course I’m not playing Miss Piggy. And neither is [Jennifer Lawrence]. We pale in comparison. Are you out of your mind? Miss Piggy is playing Miss Piggy. She would be storming out right now at the mere suggestion.”
Although she isn’t playing the legendary queen, I would DIE to see a musical number with those two doing a cheeky box step together, with over-the-top costumes, of course.
