"Gaza health": 123 martyrs in the Gaza Strip within 24 hours… and a human rights body warns of… "Realized famine"

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation army committed 16 massacres in the Strip during the past 24 hours, killing 123 martyrs and 169 injured.

The Ministry added, in a press statement, that this does not include the number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, where the Israeli occupation prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.

The Ministry explained that according to the latest update, the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 27,708 martyrs and 67,147 injured since the seventh of last October, the date of the “Al-Aqsa Flood.”

In turn, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory said that the Israeli occupation is deliberately starving the population in Gaza, indicating that there is a certain famine on the horizon.

He added – in a press statement – that there is a consensus among international experts that the number of victims of starvation and associated diseases in Gaza may exceed the number of those killed directly during the Israeli military attack.

He pointed out that the occupation allows, at best, 70 to 100 trucks to enter, compared to at least 500 trucks that entered before October 7.

He stressed that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is becoming more complicated due to the siege imposed on the population inside it from all sides, which prevents their ability to produce locally or obtain food from other sources.

The Observatory indicated that about 53% of the Gaza Strip’s population suffers from an extreme emergency of acute malnutrition, while 26% of them (half a million people) suffer from famine, and there is an increase in deaths resulting from hunger, malnutrition, or diseases related to them.
