Italy does not fail against Ukraine (0-0) and will defend its European crown

Italy did not fail as it has failed in the qualifying phases for the last two World Cups (2018 and 2022) and entered the European Championship. It would be more necessary for him to be absent the current champion… It will not enter the German hype (on December 2) with brilliance – as second in the group, England unapproachable – but in a self-sufficient way.
They needed to draw with Ukraine and they tied (0-0) despite having the merits to score and have a protection net against a goal against. It would have happened if Gil Manzano would not have closed his eyes in the area during added time.
Gil Manzano ignored a more than possible penalty from Cristante to Mudryk in the 93rd minute.
At home in Leverkusen, just as Shakhtar Donetz defends itself in Hamburg, Ukraine was unable to make use of the field factor. It was as typical but as strange as Warsaw, Prague and Trnava, the cities where it has played as a local in the league.
A penalty in the 93rd minute
They needed more than just thousands of fans on their side. They needed more football than the one they had in a team with two of the most fashionable footballers (the Girona players Tsygankov and Dovbyk) or the English Zinchenko or Mudryk.
Believing themselves alive, or perhaps it was the game plan, Ukraine wanted to speed up the game with four substitutions in the last ten minutes. He entered the area more times and Gil Manzano ignored a more than possible penalty from Cristante to Mudryk in the 93rd minute. In front, however, was the Italy that seems to enjoy the agony. The Ukrainian team ended up in the central circle applauding the exiles who accompanied them.
Italy did not fail and the Czech Republic did not fail, faithful participant in the Euro Cup since 1996, which had to beat Moldova, one of the revelations of the previous one, and gave them a 3-0 victory. David Doudera in the first half, and Tomas Chory and Tomas Soucek, in the final stretch, when the Moldovans were playing with ten, scored the goals. Poland is third and must go to the playoff.
The other revelation was Kazakhstan, which was about to give the surprise of its historic classification. Ramazan Orazov equalized Benjamin Sesko’s goal, but Benjamin Verbic ensured the victory of Slovenia (2-1), for whom a draw was worth playing at home to return to the European Championship 20 years after their first time.
The last place
The group stage concludes this Tuesday with a place to be decided. It is settled between Croatia and Wales. It will be the last proper name in the pot in the December 2 draw. The British host Turkey, already qualified, while the Balkans will defend second place against the visit of Armenia. Then, in March, the last three places that will come from a play-off will be competed for.
Germany (organizer), Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, England, Austria, Turkey, Denmark, Hungary, Albania, Romania, Scotland, Netherlands, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic and Slovenia. This Tuesday, Croatia and Wales are playing for the last place to enter the draw on December 2. In March a repechage will be played from which three more participants will emerge.
