Kmart brings back sell-out $28 item just in time for the cooler months: ‘Tell everyone!’

Kmart has delighted shoppers with a new release of the famous $28 Sherpa Patch Jacket as the weather begins to cool down.

The cosy wardrobe staple has sold out multiple times Australia-wide, with fans describing the budget buy as a ‘must’ throughout autumn and winter.

The jacket is several hundred dollars cheaper than similar high-end versions and is made with teddy fleece, sherpa and crepe fabric.

The on-trend design features a high neck with a snap button closure, long raglan sleeves, a woven flap detail and two side pockets with zip closure.

Available in sizes six to 20, it really is the ideal seasonal buy – and flatters every body shape.

News of the viral jacket’s re-launch has swept social media, with hundreds raving about the slick design and vowing to purchase one or two more this year.

‘Definitely need this,’ one gushed.

‘This looks SO comfy. I need it,’ another added.

‘I love mine, wear it all the time,’ one more wrote, tagging friends.

It’s not the only Kmart item to take off this month, with a controversial pair of jelly shoes all the rage last week.

Last year, the divisive statement shoe roared back onto the fashion scene after luxury designer brand The Row produced an elevated take on the PVC netted sandal.

Now, Kmart shoppers can jump on board the jelly flat bandwagon after the mass-retailer recently launched their own $8 take on the trendy item.

Online style watchers were quick to spot that Kmart’s Ballet Shoes bore similarities to the ones originated by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s luxury label, The Row.

The Row’s ‘Mara’ netted jelly sandal were released as part of their Summer 2024 range and retailed for US$890, approximately equivalent to AUD$1450.

The ‘Mara’ shoe quickly became a must-have among designer brand lovers and sold out instantly.

Just like The Row’s version of the jelly flat, the Kmart dupe is similarly available in an array of shades, including a clear white and a fiery red.
