Manhunt under way after suspected terror cell cross the Channel to the UK on a small boat then vanish

A Manhunt is under way for suspected terrorists who vanished after crossing the Channel by small boat, it was reported yesterday.
Six suspects with links to Islamist groups were initially monitored by the security services in the UK.
The alleged plotters are thought to be planning to damage a government building or launch a cyber attack.
They are not believed to be plotting a mass casualty terror attack, sources told the newspaper.
Conservative MP Marco Longhi, who sits on the Commons’ home affairs committee, said: ‘This should provide a wake-up call about the threat to national security due to our vulnerable borders.’
It comes after the Mail revealed in April that 19 foreign nationals linked with terror groups – including Islamic State – reached this country by small boat last year.
Most have lodged asylum claims here and cannot be deported due, in part, to human rights laws.
Seven were already under ‘active investigation’ in other countries when they arrived here.
