Netflix’s new true-crime documentary will delve into the unsolved murder of journalist Jill Dando, who was shot dead on her doorstep in Fulham in 1999.
The Somerset-born journalist landed her first job in her hometown Weston-super-Mare and was best known for presenting BBC programmes, including Crimewatch, Breakfast Time and the Six O’clock News.
The three-part series ‘Who Killed Jill Dando?’ is set to release on September 26, and explores the events leading up to her death, hoping to unveil some fresh information.
When Dando was murdered, she was engaged to gynaecologist-surgeon Alan Farthing.

Alan Farthing was born on June 8, 1963, in Winchester, Hampshire.
According to his biography on King Edward VII’s Hospital website, he is a gynaecologist who specialises in complex surgery.
Farthing qualified as a doctor in 1986 from George’s Hospital Medical School and worked at Guys, Hammersmith and St Mary’s Hospital before training in Perth and Sydney, Australia.
