Weatherly is Breckenridge’s uncle and godfather since his mother is the NCIS star’s sister.

Alongside Virgin River, Breckenridge also appeared on JAG in a 2004 episode.

Some of his other work has included parts in The Walking Dead, This Is Us, American Horror Story and Love in Store.

She had small roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, True Blood, CSI and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

However, Virgin River has catapulted the star firmly into the spotlight with the series already greenlit for season six.

She previously spoke about her famous uncle to Connecticut Magazine in 2008: “He can empathize with me through whatever struggles I’m going through, and he tends to have a lot of really good advice.

“It’s wonderful to have such a close family member who is also my godfather.”

With the success of Virgin River, maybe Weaherley could even make an appearance on the show one day.
