Journalist Mohamed Saad, a member of the Press Syndicate, whose semester, has submitted his candidacy in the midterm elections for the Journalists Council at the age.
& nbsp; Sunday morning, February 9, 2025 & nbsp; The committee supervising the elections, that the committee formed by the members of the ongoing Syndicate Council, with the assistance of some members of the General Assembly, will start receiving requests for candidacy in Amin Al -Rafii hall on the third floor of the union building from ten in the morning, until three in the evening daily except for the last day (Thursday 13 February), the nomination door is closed at twelve o’clock in the afternoon, indicating that the committee will announce the statements of the candidates on the seat of the captain, and the membership of the council after the completion of the closure of the candidacy door directly. He added that the committee will receive requests for concessions and appeals from Saturday, February 15th, and for a period of five days – at the same timing to receive candidacy requests – provided that the final statements of the candidates will be announced after the completion of the appeals examination, and the exclusion of the concessions.

Jamal Abdel Rahim, Secretary General of the Journalists Syndicate, explained the conditions for candidacy for the seat of the Syndicate of Journalists, and the membership of the Council as follows:
1) & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; to be paid to the union’s subscription for the year 2024 AD.
2) & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; whoever nominates himself for the Captain Center is required to have been registered in the schedule of workers at least ten years.
3) & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; whoever nominates himself for the membership of the Syndicate Council must have passed on the schedule of workers at least three years.
4) & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; the candidate has not been issued against him disciplinary rulings during the previous three years.
5) & nbsp; & nbsp; & Nbsp may be nominated for the Captain Center, and for the membership of the Syndicate Council together for any candidate who has fulfilled the conditions of the candidates, provided that the candidate submits an independent request to each of them.
6) & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; candidacy is not correct and final except by ratifying the same candidate on the request before the appointment to lock the nomination door.
7) & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; applicants to nominate to sign a declaration of commitment to all the rules, which will be announced by the election committee, regarding the controls of publicity and electoral behavior.
& nbsp; & nbsp; The Secretary -General confirmed that the council will invite the General Assembly to convene on Friday, March 7, 2025 AD, to consider the agenda and hold the elections, and in the event of the completion of the quorum in the presence of at least half of the members of the total of those who are entitled to vote for the subscriptions, the General Assembly meeting is postponed to March 21, 2025 AD And the convening is correct in the presence of a quarter of the number of members. & nbsp; The Secretary -General pointed out that the union council decided to conduct the electoral process & quot; vote & ndash; and sorting & quot; Under full judicial supervision.
