Perth car crash at Mardella: Mum's message after daughter Tori Pearsall dies

The devastated mother of a young woman killed in a fiery car crash has revealed her final words to her daughter as she issues a heartbreaking message to other parents.

Tori Pearsall, 27, was in the process of moving homes when her car veered off Kargotich Road in Mardella, 56km south of Perth, and slammed into a tree at about 3.30am last Saturday.

Now, Ms Pearsall’s mother Yvette Leifsson has opened up about what she has learned from the tragedy – as she urges other parents to cherish their children.

‘If I can take anything away from this mess it’s knowing that every time I speak to my beautiful kids the last think I say is “I love you” and they say it back,’ she wrote on Facebook.

‘It doesn’t matter if I see them or talk [to them] on the phone a hundred times a day, each time we end our conversations with I LOVE YOU – and that is the last thing we said to each other.

‘So please tell your kids you love them, because you don’t know when it will be the last time.

‘I get comfort knowing that my daughter Tori knew that I loved her with all my heart.’

At the time of the crash, Ms Pearsall was on her way to her sister’s house, where her three young children – all aged under 10 – had been staying while she and her partner, Ricky Clothier, worked on the move.
