President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed that the elections are a selection process carried out by the Egyptian people to choose who represents them, stressing that the value of the electoral vote is not measured by any financial reward that may be offered to the citizen, saying that “all the money or supplies you can get in exchange for voting for an unfit person is nothing, and is worth nothing in light of the danger of empowering someone who does not deserve to be your voice and the interest of your country.”
The president added – during his visit to the police academy, And in his conversation with some advanced students : True awareness appears when the citizen realizes the importance of choosing “good, honorable, sincere, honest, aware, and educated” personalities, explaining that the value of that choice is not valued in any return. An unqualified person may affect the future of more than 120 million citizens, and he may be a “foolish”, ignorant, backward, unaware, or unprepared person. This is something that should worry every responsible citizen.
The president stressed that the selection process, whether in parliamentary or presidential elections or any influential position in the state, must be carried out with the highest levels of scrutiny, saying: “Think instead of one time a hundred times.”
He explained that national responsibility requires that the citizen realize that his vote is not a passing number, but a trust, saying: “It is not right.” To speak out and say, “I am one of millions… No, I will do what I have to do, and I will choose after I research and understand that this person actually represents me or can bear the responsibility of the state.”
President Sisi stressed that awareness is not just a limited word, but rather a broad concept that includes a person’s understanding of the issues of his society, his state, his family, and himself, and that increasing awareness means improving the ability to evaluate matters and take the right positions, adding: “Awareness is a word.” Absolutely… because you need to understand everything, even in general… and it is also a continuous path through which we work.”
