Residents of an Aussie city wake up to find terrifying letter in their mailboxes

Families in a coastal city in Queensland were shaken this week after receiving neo-Nazi flyers in their letterboxes.

Residents of Bundaberg have reported the leaflets, which were emblazoned with the name ‘White Australia’ and called for a return to a whites-only nation, to the Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC).

‘Australia was built as the White working man’s paradise; and we want to return to this legacy – a legacy the ANZACS fought for,’ the flyer read.

‘We have the opportunity to make our continent great again. Only White Australia has the strength and clarity to do this.’

The title appears to refer to the new ‘political party’ White Australia, which was launched by neo-Nazi group the National Socialist Network (NSN) earlier this year.

‘Hitler’s heirs are stuffing our letterboxes,’ Chair of the ADC, Dr Dvir Abramovich warned on Friday.

‘This is not community speech. It is recruitment for bigotry, an attempt to frighten neighbours and launder neo-Nazi ideology into suburban homes.’

Dr Abramovich, who led the national campaign to ban the Nazi salute and swastika, has called on Queensland Police to investigate the incident under Section 124A of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, which covers serious racial vilification.

‘This leaflet is a recruitment brochure for bigotry,’ he said.

‘It tells families in Bundaberg that their neighbours are the enemy, that diversity is a threat, that the ANZAC spirit belongs only to whites. That is a lie and a disgrace.’

The ADC warned that such propaganda is not just hateful rhetoric but a dangerous attempt to mobilise extremist ideology in Australian suburbs.

‘Let’s be crystal clear: the ‘White Australia’ fantasy is an eviction notice for everyone who isn’t them, First Nations Australians, migrants, Jews, people of colour, anyone who doesn’t fit their narrow script,’ Dr Abramovich said.

‘Hitler would recognise this script instantly. This material does what all extremist propaganda does. It tries to turn neighbours into enemies and street corners into rally points.’

The flyers arrived just days after a controversial neo-Nazi rally outside NSW Parliament House in Sydney.

Around 60 men dressed in black chanted Hitler Youth slogans and held a banner reading ‘Abolish the Jewish Lobby’ last week.

The rally, organised under the NSN’s political party name ‘White Australia’, was authorised by NSW Police, sparking outrage across the country.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said there was ‘no place in Australia’ for such anti-Semitic actions.

NSW Premier Chris Minns also called the protest a ‘shocking display of hatred’.

Several participants in the rally have since been identified as Sydneysiders employed in public-facing roles, including in the transport, engineering, and education sectors.

Two MPs – Allegra Spender and Kellie Sloane – received rape and death threats after condemning the rally, prompting police investigations.

The ADC has urged authorities to treat the Bundaberg flyer drop as part of a broader incitement campaign.

The organisation warned that Australia must not become a staging ground for a ‘rebirth’ of white supremacist ideology.

The Daily Mail has contacted Queensland Police Service and Bundaberg Regional Council for comment.
