Russell Brand's management told him it 'wasn't a good look' to date a 16-year-old girl and 'told him to pretend she was his goddaughter or niece', alleged accuser 'Alice' claims

A woman who claimed she was groomed by Russell Brand when she was 16 said the star’s management told him it ‘wasn’t a good look’ to date a 16-year-old girl – advising him to pretend she was his goddaughter or niece.

The woman – referred to as Alice to protect her identity – made claims she was in an ’emotionally abusive’ relationship with Brand, then 31 – adding that she ‘can’t imagine’ finding a teenager ‘sexually attractive’ now she is in her thirties.

Speaking on BBC Sounds today, Alice said: ‘He knew [my age] before we ever went on our first date.

‘He told me that his management had told him not to be seen out and about [with me]. They said it wasn’t a good look for him and his career.

‘There were some discussions – ”maybe we can say she’s you goddaughter”.

‘ ”You can’t say she’s a niece because people know you’re an only child.” There were those kind of discussions, and then it was, ”well, why don’t you just stay inside”, and then we only met within inside the four walls of his room.’

Speaking for the first time since the accusations were made against Brand, Alice said she ‘can’t imagine’ being sexually attracted to a 16-year-old now she is an adult.

‘Now that I’m in my 30s, looking at 16-year-olds, I can’t even imagine finding them sexually attractive. I can’t imagine even thinking of them as that, you know, a potential mate in any way,’ she said.
