Slumdog Millionaire star Rubina Ali Qureshi has gotten married 15 years after shooting the award-winning film.
The star, 24, tied the knot in her hometown of Mumbai in a Muslim ceremony and is best known for her role as young Latika in the movie.
She teased fans in an Instagram post with pictures of her special day which was captioned: ‘Way to new journey of life. Ms Qureshi to Mrs Jodiyawala’.
The couple are believed to have met many years ago in their neighbourhood, before their friendship blossomed into a relationship.
They exchanged vows in a beautiful Nikah ceremony at Badri Masjid in Nallasopara, Mumbai, on 17 November.
Rubina shared some more snaps from her wedding on her Instagram account, with the caption: ‘Alhumduillah nikkah done’.
According to Cover Asia Press, Rubina said: ‘I’m so happy. I have known Mohammad for many years so for us to now be husband and wife is a dream come true.
‘It feels [like] a beautiful day and all our family members are around us. I feel blessed.’
