The Abu Dhabi Peace Forum will organize its tenth meeting next November
The Abu Dhabi Peace Forum will celebrate its tenth meeting in the capital of tolerance and sustainability, Abu Dhabi, during the period from 14 to 16 November.
The forum will be held under the slogan “For Sustainable Peace – Challenges and Possibilities” with a large official and scientific presence and broad participation of Emirati, Arab and international elites.
The Emirates News Agency reported that the celebration is being held under the generous patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, and headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum and Chairman of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa.
The choice of this slogan comes at a time when the United Arab Emirates declared the year 2023 the “Year of Sustainability,” embodying the vision and goals of the Emirates in this field, and for the forum, with its title and topics, to be an effective intellectual participation to highlight the centrality of peace and its necessity to promote sustainable development.
This year, the forum discusses several topics, the most prominent of which are: sustainable peace concepts and achievements, the concept of sustainable peace and the experience of the United Arab Emirates, contemporary world crises and sustainable peace, sustainable peace and sustainable development, religious and cultural diplomacy and preventive measures.
This year’s forum comes, taking into account the symbolism of celebrating 10 years since the launch of the forum, a decade in which it achieved many of its goals and accomplished many of its pioneering initiatives at the local and global levels, with the generous support of the wise leadership of the country, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al. Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and continued patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The “Marrakesh Declaration 2016” came as a milestone in inspiring the spirit of the historical newspaper of Medina, while the caravans and paths of peace from Abu Dhabi to America and Rabat were a positive gesture to plant the seeds of coexistence between societies, and the new Pact of Coexistence (signed in Abu Dhabi 2019) came as a culmination of these efforts and to be a habitat. For those who seek goodness and those who work to spread peace.
