The Arab Parliament denounced the announcement by Argentine President Javier Milley of his intention to transfer his country’s embassy to the Israeli occupation entity to the city of Jerusalem, stressing that this matter is condemned and rejected, and that the legal, historical and religious status of the city of Jerusalem is not subject to review, and that any step in this direction represents a blatant violation of international law and resolutions. International legitimacy also considers it a blatant infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Arab Parliament stressed that this measure would undermine the two-state solution, and encourage the occupying entity and extremist settler groups to continue attacks on the Palestinian people and Christian and Islamic sanctities in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Arab Parliament called on the Argentine President to reverse this decision, which would consolidate the reality of the occupation, and asked him to follow the approach and positions of the South American countries that defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with the city of Jerusalem as its capital.
The Arab Parliament affirmed that any step in this direction explicitly violates the resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly and the UN Security Council, and is considered null and void and has no legal effect, calling on the international community to pressure the Argentine government to withdraw from taking this measure, and to adhere to international law and international legitimacy resolutions relevant to the situation. Legal and historical of the city of Jerusalem.
