The Grand Mufti of the Republic participates in the meeting of the Consultative Committee of the University of Singapore for Islamic Studies

Developing curricula and educational programs at the university, and enhancing the mechanisms of scientific research in the legal and humanitarian fields, in a way that keeps pace with the developments of the times and preserves the principles of religion and its civilizational identity, in addition to setting a tight program for the university, which enhances the quality of its educational outputs and keeps pace with the needs of contemporary Muslim societies, as the participants discussed ways to support academic cooperation between the university and prestigious Islamic institutions around the world, foremost of which is Al -Azhar Al -Sharif and the Egyptian Ifta House, in a way that contributes to what contributes to Preparing generations of qualified scholars who are able to communicate with reality and confront contemporary intellectual challenges. Contemporary, and its keenness to open up to the experiences of the Islamic world and exchange scientific experiences with the major international religious institutions. To face the emerging challenges, and how Islamic education, especially higher education, can remain relevant to our contemporary reality, and how the social context of Muslim societies affects the content of Islamic education and its educational curricula, adding that the challenges faced by religious discourse today require the solidarity of efforts and exchange of visions and experiences between scholars and researchers, stressing that religious institutions, led by universities and scientific centers, bear A major responsibility in consolidating the concepts of citizenship, coexistence and tolerance, and addressing extremist thought in all its forms. Building the academic model for this university, stressing the importance of benefiting from this experience in developing an integrated vision of the curricula of education, which combines the sciences of Sharia, language and thought, and between the humanities and social sciences that appoint the preacher or specialist in Islamic affairs to understand the reality and conscious dealing with its renewed issues, as his virtue dealt with the most important sciences and knowledge that should be available in the employees of this university; To ensure the formation of scientific elites capable of leading advocacy and intellectual work in its societies, in a way that establishes the values ​​of moderation and moderation, and achieves a balance between constants and variables.
