
The Union Party, headed by Counselor Reda Saqr, condemned in the strongest terms the decision of the Israeli occupation to cut off electricity from the Gaza Strip, stressing that this measure is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention, and comes within a series of arbitrary practices that aim to restrict the Palestinian people. It is pursued by Israel, whether by cutting electricity or obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid, represents a crime against humanity and the exacerbation of the suffering of innocent civilians in the Strip, which calls for a crucial international position to stop these continuous violations. And human rights organizations by urgent action to stop these crimes and hold the occupation accountable for its illegal practices.
