The US House of Representatives rejects an aid deal for Israel during its war in Gaza and for Ukraine

US House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson said on Monday that the Senate agreement on a newly unveiled bill linking enhanced border security in exchange for providing aid to Ukraine and Israel will not be approved.

The American “Al Hurra” channel confirmed, quoting Honson, that “the bill is worse than we expected, and will not come close to ending the border disaster caused by President Joe Biden, pledging that if this bill reaches the House of Representatives, it will be dead on its arrival.”

Members of the US Senate announced the text of an agreement that would release billions of dollars in new aid to Israel during its ongoing war in Gaza and Ukraine in exchange for tightening US border protection measures, although the prospects for its approval are unclear.
