Thwarting an attempt to smuggle a quantity of the narcotic khat plant in the Jazan region

The border guards’ ground patrols in the Al-Arda sector in the Jazan region were able to arrest (10) violators of the border security system of Yemeni nationality for smuggling (200) kilograms of the narcotic qat plant. The initial legal procedures were completed against them, and they and the seized items were handed over to the competent authority.

The security authorities are called upon to report all information available to citizens and residents about any activities related to drug smuggling or drug promotion, by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiyah, and (999) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, and the General Directorate’s reports number.
