
At least 20 people have been injured after a car ploughed into a crowd outside a nightclub in Los Angeles.
Emergency services are responding to the scene of a collision on Santa Monica Boulevard where an unknown vehicle reportedly drove into a crowd in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Between eight and ten are in a serious condition, while a further 10-15 are in a ‘fair condition’, it added.
Social media footage shows a huge response to the incident, with dozens of firefighters and police officers attending the scene.
The LA Fire Department said they have treated more than 20 patients, with four or five of those fighting for their lives in critical condition.
The crumpled remains of a grey car can also be seen on the road next to the Vermont nightclub.

The LAFD said in a statement: ‘Initial reports of an unknown vehicle into a crowd, 20+ patients.
‘Estimated 4-5 in at least critical condition, 8-10 in serious condition, 10-15 in fair condition.
‘LAFD is coordinating patient triage and transport at this time.’
