2006 Vanity Fair article appears to predict America’s future… with one terrifying premonition still to come

Vanity Fair found itself at the center of controversy after it published its profile of Susie Wiles last year, but almost two decades before that, the publication may have predicted today’s political climate.
An astrology article from a 2006 issue of Vanity Fair that appeared to correctly foresee the political events over the last 20 years has resurfaced and gone viral.
In the article, Vanity Fair’s resident astrologer Michael Lutin shared what he expected will happen to the US through to 2025 based on Pluto’s return to the founding chart of 1776.
It recently re-emerged and left readers stunned due to how much he got right – and some terrified over one ominous projection that’s yet to take place.
Lutin eerily predicted that the country’s mood would become ‘darker and much more conservative.’
‘Over the next 19 years or so, America as a Cancer nation will have to deal with troubling confrontations and competition such as it has never known,’ he wrote.
He also theorized the nation will have an ‘internal political struggle’ that ‘will shake us to our very core.’
The astrologer continued: ‘The words “patriot” and “treason” will lose their meaning.’

‘In some cases, they will become interchangeable. What is treason to one person will be patriotism to another.’
Also included in the astrologer’s projections was a constitutional revamp for the ‘last half of the 2020s.’
‘It’s not going to be a matter of Democrat or Republican anymore, because the new ideologies will bleed across party lines,’ he said.
‘It is a necessary and inevitable step in the evolution of this country that will result in a reworking of the Constitution in the last half of the 2020s.
He concluded his ominous predictions by saying a country ‘gets the leaders it deserves.’
‘When we’re ready to rise from the ashes of a fallen empire, we will find the leaders to help us do so,’ read the article.
Shocked readers took to social media to share their thoughts on the article recently, and many were stunned over how similar Lutin’s predictions ended up being to our political climate today.
‘The part that caught my attention is the “reworking of the constitution in the last half of the 2020s” oh wow!’ wrote one user.

‘I’ve read this before and the accuracy always gets me,’ wrote another.
Another declared: ‘Astrology isn’t real … except for this Vanity Fair article from 2007.’
Vogue made headlines in December after it published a bombshell tell-all profile on Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff Wiles.
Wiles, 68, spoke with the publication over the course of the last year, likening Trump to her own late alcoholic father and legendary sportscaster Pat Summerall, noting the president has ‘an alcoholic’s personality.’
‘The president operates [with] a view that there’s nothing he can’t do. Nothing, zero, nothing,’ Wiles told journalist Chris Whipple.
Notably, Trump does not drink and has spoken about losing his older brother, Fred, to addiction and alcoholism.
The chief of staff also dished on Vice President Vance, noting his late MAGA conversion and early critiques of Trump. The VP, she added, has also been ‘a conspiracy theorist for a decade.’
