‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Honors Guest Star Isabelle Tate After Her Death At 23

Following actress Isabelle Tate‘s unexpected death at age 23 earlier this month, 9-1-1: Nashville paid tribute in the latest episode.

Thursday’s episode ‘Bad Case of the Blues’ ended with an “in loving memory” title card for Tate, who previously appeared in the pilot episode of the ABC spin-off series that debuted this month.

Tate’s talent agency previously shared an obituary confirming she died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 19 after suffering from a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth, which left her confined to a wheelchair.

The condition is a progressive multisystem, multiorgan disease that causes lifelong, progressive symptoms, including muscle weakness and atrophy in the arms and legs, sensory loss, and other complications, according to the description of the disease on the CMTA website.

“Isabelle was full of fire, a fighter, never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others,” reads the obituary posted by the McCray Agency.

Tate was credited as Izzy Tate on 9-1-1: Nashvilleplaying Julie. In the pilot episode, audiences are introduced to Hunter McVey’s Blue, a stripper performing at a bar. Julie is in a wheelchair and asks a fellow patron to allow her to see Blue dancing, but she bullies her, showing no empathy. Blue witnesses the encounter and, as a nice gesture, walks down off the stage and gives Julie a lap dance, for which he gets in trouble, as it’s against the law in Nashville.
