Fury as fundraiser for woman who hurled unforgivable slur at five-year-old boy reaches shock new heights

A Minnesota woman filmed directing a racial slur at a five-year-old black child has garnered a whopping $650,000 in online donations.

Viral video of the woman, identified as Shiloh Hendrix, recorded at Soldiers Field Memorial Park shows that white tattooed woman holding her toddler while being confronted by a man who accuses her of calling a young black boy the ‘N-word.’

When questioned, Hendrix does not deny the accusation and responds, ‘If that’s what he’s gonna act like,’ before repeating the slur toward the man filming and making an obscene gesture.

‘So that gives you the right to call the child, 5-years-old, a n*****, the ‘N-word?’ the man asks her incredulously before the two engage in a disturbing back-and-forth.

The confrontation reportedly began after she claimed the child took a toy from her son’s diaper bag.

Following the incident, Hendrix initiated her own crowdfunding campaign, claiming that the viral video had caused her and her family significant distress and ignited threats.

Her campaign rapidly gained traction has has raised more than $650,000 with a $1 million goal because she had been ‘threatened to the extreme by people online’ and needs to relocate.

The support shown toward Hendrix has drawn criticism online, with many questioning the motivations behind the donations and expressing concern over the message it sends regarding accountability for racist behavior.

‘Why are people sending this woman money?’ one person said. ‘Who knew racism could be so profitable!?’ said another.

‘Racism pays I guess, a third person said. ‘She seems like a fairly horrible person. A five year old? Really? That could and should have been handled so very differently,’ added a fourth.

‘There is no excuse to call anyone, much less a little kid, a racial slur or any slur,’ a sixth person said.

‘Wow. SMH. She has raised enough money to move out the country if she wanted too.. just by being racist towards a 5 year old boy with autism. This country is so sad bro. Just goes to show a lot,’ said a seventh.

Another said, ‘Sad on all levels. This clearly exhibits that there’ll never be racial harmony in these United States of America.’

On the fundraiser page, Hendrix claimed she is raising money to protect her family and relocate after being doxed when the video went viral

‘My name is Shiloh and I have been put into a very dire situation. I recently had a kid steal from my 18 month old son’s diaper bag at a park. I called the kid out for what he was,’ the fundraiser stated.

‘My family members are being attacked. My eldest child may not be going back to school. Even where I exercise has been exposed.’

The page goes on to claim that since the video was posted, her Social Security Number has been leaked along with her address and phone number.

‘I fear that we must relocate. I have two small children who do not deserve this. We have been threatened to the extreme by people online. Anything will help! We cannot, and will not live in fear!’ she said.

Hendrix thanked her supporters in an update on the fundraiser page Friday, claiming she is ‘taking the proper procedures in order to stay safe.’

‘The overwhelming support that my family and myself have received is unbelievable! I’ve never felt so scared, yet reassured in my life. It’s truly a whirlwind of emotions,’ she said.

‘I’m still very frightened, and I don’t think I will feel safe until we can escape completely.’

The Rochester branch of the NAACP launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the child and his family, aiming to raise funds for legal advocacy and broader social justice efforts.

As of Monday morning, the campaign for the child and his family had raised over $341,000.
