Australiana pop icon Tina Arena had her moment on stage ruined after a brawl broke out at one of her shows.
Last Friday, the “Chains” singer was forced to pause her Don’t Ask Again Tour gig at St Kilda’s Palais Theatre after a member of the audience began to punch on with strangers.
Per The Herald Sun, it’s believed that an unnamed woman in the front row was “punching strangers and kicking them” before four security guards removed her from the venue.
In the midst of the chaos, Arena calmly told the patron they needed to “leave the show”.
“Ladies and gentlemen, if we could please just have some calm in this hall, I would really, really appreciate it,” Arena said before the audience applauded.
“Sorry about this, ladies and gentlemen. I have never experienced anything like this in 50 years.
“If there’s something that needs to be discussed, please do it outside. I won’t commence the show until this is the case.”
AIYIYI. Honestly, I can’t think of a Tina Arena tune that’ll truly wind someone up for a smackdown.
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford, who shared footage of the incident, praised the star’s calm and collected response to the altercation.

“To her credit, calling upon those 50 years (of performing), Tina, of course, stayed very calm and collected. She was very resolute that all these people who were warring should be leaving the theatre,” Ford told Channel Seven.
“Eventually, that did happen. She put on a sensational show.”
The showbiz journalist adds that it’s not known what caused the scuffle. However, he did reveal that one woman reportedly “threw herself on the ground” right in front of the pop diva.

“One woman threw herself on the ground and said, ‘Don’t you dare touch me’. The show had to stop. It happened right at the foot of the stage,” he shared.
“(The Palais) is a big barn-like theatre. Everyone could see it.”
The concert brawl comes days after The Herald Sun reported that she’d called someone out for going to the loo during her gig at Palais… Honestly, I think that Melbourne venue is just cursed for the “Burn” singer.
Someone sage it out for Miss Girl ASAP.
