Trailer Kanye West’s Documentary ‘In Whose Name’

The trailer for Kanye West‘s — now known as Ye — incredibly candid documentary has shared a heartbreaking glimpse into the demise of this marriage with Kim Kardashian.

Three years after Ye and Kim officially finalised their divorce, the trailer to In Whose Name?, directed by Nicolas Ballesteros, officially dropped, revealing some of the most intimate details of the College Dropout rapper’s life.

Over the span of six years, Ballesteros captured the private moments of Ye’s life, including the artist’s mental health struggles — who publicly disclosed his bipolar diagnosis in 2018, but now claims it is autism — his run for presidency and his viral Sunday Service gatherings.

During the documentary, Ballesteros also documented Ye’s failed marriage to Kim, which was also highlighted in the trailer below.

At the beginning of the explosive trailer, the “All Falls Down” rapper claimed that he’d been “off his meds” for five months before a distressed soundbite of Kim is played.

“Your personality was not like this a few years ago,” Kim can be heard saying.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Kim and Ye appear to be having a tense conversation, with the artist snapping back at the SKIMS founder.

“Never tell me I’m gonna wake up one day and have nothing,” Ye says.

“We can talk about that later, but,” Kim replied before West interrupts by saying, “It ain’t no but!”

The documentary trailer shows footage from when Ye decided to run for president in 2019, and footage from his Sunday Service gatherings.

One of the biggest talking points surrounding the trailer is the rapper’s disapproval of medication.

“I would rather be dead than be on medication. Either they destroy me, or I destroy it,” he says.

“They’re killing our ability to think outside the box!”

Despite recently claiming his diagnosed bipolar disorder was actually autism, the trailer ends with Ye saying: “You know the best thing about being an artist and bipolar? Anything you do and say is an art piece.”

In Whose Name is set to drop in cinemas in the States on September 19. So far, an Australian release date has yet to be announced.
