Paris-based kids programming sales company Madgic Distribution has secured a raft of new sales across its animation and live-action slate.
Madgic Distribution, formerly APC Kids and now part of France’s Madgic group, sold a number of shows to PCCW in Hong Kong for its domestic free-to-air channel, including “Nitso and the Very Hairy Alphabet,” produced by Eagle Eye Filmproduktion in co-production with KIKA and GS Animation; “Lana Longbead,” produced by Madgic’s production arm Zephyr and Copernicus Studios; Kelebek Media’s “Isadora Moon” and Season 2 of TeamTO’s action comedy series “Jade Armor” for its SVOD service NowTV following the success of Season 1.

TVO Canada and ABC Australia both picked up “Isadora Moon” and CBBC live-action series “High Hoops,” produced by Can Can Productions.
In separate deals, Madgic Distribution sold “Jade Armor” Season 2 to RTBF Belgium, Telequebec in Canada and Narrative in the U.K.
“We are incredibly proud to continue our great relationships with broadcast partners as we head to our first MIP Junior as Madgic Distribution,” said managing director Lionel Marty. “There continues to be a genuine appetite for quality animated and live action series and it’s testament to the great producers we work with that so many of our shows have found new homes with leading international broadcasters.”
French media group Madgic recently acquired APC Kids, formerly the children distribution division of About Premium Content and rebranded it as Madgic Distribution.
Marty, who headed APC Kids, remained at the helm of Madgic Distribution. The company’s catalogue consists of more than 1,800 episodes from more than 50 children and youth series, including animation for all ages and live-action shows, including such titles as “Angelo Rules,” “Emerald,” “Hawa & Adam” and “Walter’s Christmas.”
Madgic Group, headed by Jean-Michel Spiner, was established in 2022 through the merger of animation studios 2 Minutes and Label Anim.
Madgic Distribution will be among a number of leading animation sales companies presenting their current lineups at this year’s Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Le Havre, which kicks off Sept. 1.
