Shocking scenes as a wild brawl sparks shocking centre chaos at Macarthur Square

Shocking footage has emerged of an ugly brawl after a young store manager bravely confronted two women accused of stealing at a busy shopping centre in Sydney’s south-west.

The melee unfolded in front of shocked shoppers at Macarthur Square on Thursday afternoon after two women accused of stealing allegedly tried to leave a store with a trolley full of goods.

Police allege the women assaulted a female store manager who confronted them before security guards and an off-duty police officer rushed to her aid.

What began as a tense standoff quickly spiralled into mayhem when the women were stopped from leaving the centre.

‘Let me go now,’ one woman is heard screaming.

The other woman lunged forward and shoved the store manager, screaming repeatedly, ‘I’ll punch you.’

She then flew into a foul-mouthed tirade and hurled expletives as she tossed clothing and bags from her trolley across the ground.

She ended up on the ground as guards fought to restrain the pair.

‘Get off my daughter,’ the other woman was heard screaming.
