American rapper Snoop Dogg has landed in Melbourne for the AFL grand final, already making his presence felt ahead of Saturday's big game with a "slight budget re-issue".
On Tuesday, the headlining act for the pre-game entertainment was introduced to the MCG's hallowed turf, joining Collingwood stars and brothers Josh and Nick Daicos for a kick-to-kick.
Controversy has surrounded the AFL's decision to hire Snoop Dogg, with critics pointing to the legendary artist's views on the LGBTQ+ community and women, use of derogatory language, and legal issues centring on drug possession and gun possession throughout his career.

Across town at Marvel Stadium, a replica stage has been constructed, with Snoop Dogg and his back-up dancers beginning rehearsals, with more to follow later in the week.
However, breakfast radio host Ross Stevenson has told 3AW's Rumour File about one of Snoop Dogg's demands ahead of his performance, which has led to a revision of the budget.
"There has been a slight budget re-issue with Snoop Dogg's appearance at the grand final on Saturday," he said.
"He has demanded that a replica of the stage for Saturday be built at Marvel Stadium so he can rehearse before Thursday's rehearsal at the 'G.
"I'm quite impressed that he wants to get it right, but it wasn't in the budget."
The demand has not been confirmed by the AFL or Snoop Dogg's management.

There are conflicting reports about the exact amount the AFL is paying for Snoop Dogg's appearance, with some sources suggesting the fee is around $2 million.
Others have claimed Snoop Dogg's earnings could be as high as $5 million, the same amount reportedly paid to Katy Perry and Robbie Williams in previous years.
While Snoop Dogg is the headliner, he will be supported by other Australian artists during the pre-game show, including Tash Sultana, Baker Boy and September specialist Mike Brady.
Snoop Dogg is set to take to the stage at the AFL grand final at 1.30pm (AEST) on Saturday, with the grand final itself kicking off at 2:30pm.
