As shockwaves from Nicole Kidman’s split with Keith Urban ripple through Hollywood and Nashville, Daily Mail tracked down the country star’s mother for her take on the talk sweeping Music City.
Court documents obtained by Daily Mail reveal Nicole filed for divorce on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences and retaining primary custody of their daughters.
Meanwhile, a source in Nashville music public relations revealed there were whispers that Keith, 57, may have already moved on with another woman after his separation.
‘The rumour is that he’s with a younger woman in the business. It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.’
Daily Mail approached Keith’s mother Marienne Urban early Wednesday morning as she went to the gym in Maroochydore, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Daily Mail approached Keith’s mother Marienne Urban early Wednesday morning as she went to the gym in Maroochydore, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast
We asked her about the speculation doing the rounds in Nashville that he had already moved on from his 19-year marriage.
Marienne refused to be drawn on any matter concerning the divorce, offering a terse ‘no comment, thank you’.
Nonetheless, the strain of her son’s relationship breakdown did appear to be getting to her as we saw her receiving a consoling hug from a fellow gym-goer.
Marienne lives in an apartment with ocean views, having moved into the $1million unit that Keith and Nicole bought for her after the death of her husband, Robert Urban.
Keith had apparently hoped moving his mother into an apartment block would widen her social circle after his father’s death from cancer in 2015.
The musician’s brother Shane Urban also lives on the Sunshine Coast, and patrols beaches as a surf lifesaver at the Coolum Surf Life Saving Club.
In April, Shane joked on the Today show that ‘Keith got the talent and I got the looks’.
He said it ‘has never been a burden’ to be related to the four-time Grammy winner, whom he described as one of the best guitarists on the planet.

The brothers grew up in Caboolture, near Brisbane.
Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Keith and Nicole for comment.
The former couple share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Nicole was previously married to Tom Cruise, 63, for 11 years from 1990 to 2001. They adopted two children together, Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30.

Those close to Nicole say that even the suggestion that Keith, who is renting a place in Nashville, may be seeing someone else has been difficult for her to process.
The exes were last seen together publicly in June, when they attended a FIFA World Cup match in Nashville.
Keith has been away for much of the year on his High and Alive World Tour. He is due to perform in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Thursday.
Nicole and the children, meanwhile, have stayed in Nashville, where the family owns a $4million compound.
Meanwhile, Keith’s fans have been begging him to try to make things work with Nicole after news broke of their separation.
‘Are you crazy? Nicole is a total babe. You should be so lucky to have a gorgeous legend A-lister,’ one wrote.

Another chimed in: ‘Try to work it out. The grass is not greener on the other side. Your kids will be badly affected by it.’
In September last year, Keith hinted that all was not well when he shrugged off questions about their love story during an interview with Sydney radio show Jonesy and Amanda.
He was asked if he thought they would have got together were it not for their chance meeting at the G’Day LA gala in 2005.
‘No idea,’ he remarked. An awkward silence followed, before the hosts pressed the topic again – but Keith made it clear he wouldn’t be adding anything more.
‘Anyways, moving on.’
For her part, Nicole admitted that same month that there was no such thing as a ‘perfect’ marriage while promoting her Netflix series The Perfect Couple.
‘There’s no perfect anything,’ she said. ‘Anything that’s presented as perfect… forget it.’
