Auburn ‘fires head coach Hugh Freeze’ after miserable season went from bad to worse against Kentucky

Hugh Freeze has been fired as head coach of the Auburn Tigers football team, according to reports.

Freeze’s future was plunged into more doubt after Auburn was beaten 10-3 by the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday.

That loss left Auburn 4-5 for the season and now, according to On3 Sports, Freeze has paid with his job.

The 56-year-old took over the Tigers in 2023 and ended his tenure with a record of 6-16 in the SEC.
