Track Soft 5 and rail True
Race 1
3. Fulmen Filou is a tough and consistent four-year-old who is bred to get much further, and knocking on the door third-up for that second win. Beat all bar the winner in a string of races last prep before again running home hard into a place in two runs back from a spell. Couldn’t be any fitter and switched on, and finds a handy class drop, again settling off the speed and looking to run over them. 8. Wittelsbach can improve sharply second-up over a much longer trip, and coming back from deeper provincial opposition. Gap to the rest headed by 5. Gold Capital who draws out and climbs abruptly in distance, but has been in the money in his last three, and comes back from a deeper race where he ran home strong from the back. 10. Elite Delight is a provincial mare and consistent type who draws to get cover, and can work into the finish.

Race 2
3. Tipsy Miss is a lightly raced and emerging filly well-placed to strike at her third start over a furlong further. Ran home okay behind a smart one on debut at Scone before ridden quieter at Quirindi and again hit the line late. Winkers come off and senior jockey sticks, and this shapes as an ideal trip again from off speed. 2. Vendor was well beaten by a talented one when leading on that same day at Quirindi, but hits peak fitness now from the inside draw. Hard to see one of those two not winning, but keep safe 6. It’s A Written who hit the line when resuming behind a handy winner at Armidale, while 8. Mr Chips, fourth-up and trained on the course, can add value into trifecta and first fours.

Race 3
5. Joiselle is a sparingly raced and talented mare who rises a furlong in distance six weeks between runs. Was $2.20 into $2.00 when chasing into second in a strong BM 82 at Scone, and has been kept up to the mark with a recent trial. Best form is clearly on the fresh side, and she’s drawn to stalk the speed all the way. 7. Crimson Bonnet is a locally trained and well-bred mare who has won two of her last four running over the opposition from midfield. Drops in weight here for a rise in grade, and the quick back-up is a strong pointer she’s continued to thrive. 2. Enterprise Legend is a tough homer tracker drawn inside who dug in hard from the front to land a similar graded race four weeks ago, but does rise sharply in weight. 1. Mystery Lad is over the odds deep into the prep after a fair run in the deeper Jacaranda Cup. 6. Kimberley Moon also drops significantly in weight for this tougher test, and heads the rest.

Race 4
4. Thrilling Venture is a consistent short course performer shooing for a third consecutive win. Led all the way in dominant fashion at Scone two months back before again freshened to beat similar opposition at Muswellbrook. Has tactical speed, reloads off an impressive trial win, and has the tactical speed to use the low draw. 2. Herman Said is an emerging provincial three-year-old resuming for a leading stable behind two solid trials, and draws the fence. 1. Kantishna looked ready to win 12 days ago before fading late, although wasn’t afforded much vigour in the run. Blinkers come off, and she gets much-needed weight relief, but has a reputation of being a professional place-getter. 3. Parana River dropping back from a tougher CL3 Highway, and 7. Master Gee who draws to get early cover; are both capable of finishing in the minor money.
