The allegations against President Donald Trump made in the latest trove of Epstein files are ‘untrue and sensationalist,’ the Department of Justice has claimed.
Thousands of new files, including hundreds of videos or audio recordings, linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s case were made public by the DOJ this morning.
Trump was named in several documents, some of which contained vile allegations that the DOJ said were probed by the FBI and determined to be ‘unfounded and false.’ The Daily Mail has approached the White House for comment.
The latest dump comes as Trump told reporters how he ‘hated’ seeing photos of Bill Clinton in the Epstein files, arguing how ‘everybody was friendly’ with Epstein before his crimes were unveiled.
Trump blasted ‘Democrats and a couple of bad Republicans’ for releasing the Epstein files, which heavily featured Clinton, and said it was ‘terrible’ seeing the former president in them.
He also acknowledged how photos of him had been included in the files, noting that there are likely ‘pictures being exposed of other people that innocently met Jeffrey Epstein years ago’.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act mandated the complete release of the Epstein files by Friday of last week, however there are still thousands of files that still have not been released.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has blamed the delay on the need to redact the identities of Epstein’s more than 1,000 victims from the hundreds of thousands of documents and photos in the government’s possession.
DoJ says new Epstein documents ‘contain untrue and sensationalist claims’ about President Trump
The US Department of Justice said on Tuesday morning that a newly released trove of Epstein-related documents contains ‘untrue and sensationalist claims’ about President Donald Trump that were submitted to the FBI ahead of the 2020 election.
In a post on X, the department said the allegations were ‘unfounded and false,’ adding: ‘If they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.’
The Justice Department said that, in keeping with its commitment to the law and transparency, it released an additional 30,000 pages of documents.

Epstein Files reveal email to Ghislaine ‘from Balmoral’ asking for ‘inappropriate friends’… and signed ‘A’
An email sent to sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell from ‘Balmoral’ and signed ‘A xxx’ asked her if she had ‘found me some new inappropriate friends’ to have ‘fun’ with, the Epstein files have revealed.
The files, which were released on Friday, shed new light on the inner world of convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, and include an image of his friend Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor – formerly Prince Andrew – lying across five women.
The latest disclosures include a series of emails written between Maxwell and ‘The Invisible Man’, with the email address ‘abx17@dial.pipex.com’.
In August 2001, the man who signs his messages ‘A xxx’ writes to Maxwell: ‘I am up here at Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family.’
Why are the Epstein files redacted?
The trove of Epstein files released by the Department of Justice were heavily redacted to protect the pedophile’s victims, the government has revealed.
Donald Trump’s DOJ was met with criticisms over the redactions and slow release of the Epstein files by both lawmakers and victims.
Democrats accused the DOJ of a ‘cover-up’, alleging the redactions where due to ‘political sensitivities.’
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has denied allegations and said the Justice Department was ‘absolutely, positively not’ redacting the files to protect Trump.
Trump was once a close friend of Epstein, regularly attending parties together, but he cut ties with him years before his arrest and faces no accusations of wrongdoing.
Similarly, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton explained last week that ‘victim privacy interests’ has led the DOJ to redact ‘faces of women in photographs with Epstein even where not all the women are known to be victims because it is not practicable for the department to identify every person in a photo.’
Clayton admitted that the approach ‘could be viewed by some as an over-redaction’ but reiterated that the department believes it should ‘err on the side of redacting to protect victims.’

A spokesperson for former president Bill Clinton has addressed his name and pictures emerging in the Epstein files on Friday afternoon.
‘The White House hasn’t been hiding these files for months only to dump them late on a Friday to protect Bill Clinton,’ the spokesperson said.
‘This is about shielding themselves from what comes next, or from what they’ll try and hide forever.

Speaking at a press conference Monday, Trump said: ‘I don’t like the pictures of Bill Clinton being shown, I don’t like the pictures of other people being shown, I think it’s a terrible thing.
‘I like Bill Clinton, I’ve always gotten along with Bill Clinton. I’ve been nice to him, he’s been nice to me, we’ve always gotten along with him, I respect him.’
