Appeals officer rules on DK Metcalf’s two-game ban in potential $45million decision for Steelers star

Pittsburgh wide receiver DK Metcalf’s two-game ban has been upheld, in what could be a $45million disaster for the Steelers star.
An appeals officer jointly appointed by the league and players’ union upheld the NFL’s ruling days after Metcalf took a swing at a Lions fan during Pittsburgh’s win in Detroit.
Metcalf’s suspension could prove costly. Based on his contract with the Steelers, the suspension would void not only the rest of his salary for this season, but also voids $45 million in future guarantees, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Daily Mail has reached out to Metcalf’s agent for confirmation.
