Real reason Crocodile Dundee stars Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski divorced revealed in resurfaced interview

It began as an epic showbiz romance.
Meeting on the set of the classic comedy Crocodile Dundee in 1985, American actress Linda Kozlowski fell head over heels for co-star and Aussie legend Paul Hogan.
Five years later, they tied the knot in Byron Bay amidst a blaze of publicity, only to split in 2014 after 24 years of marriage.
Now, a throwback interview with Linda, 67, has resurfaced, revealing the sad story behind the breakup of what seemed like a fairytale love affair.
‘Honestly, we just naturally grew apart,’ Linda told New Idea soon after the breakup, and she added: ‘One of our problems was we really had nothing in common, and, over time, that happens to a lot of people.’
Tying the knot in 1990, Linda and Paul, 86, welcomed son Chance in 1998.

Already a household name Down Under, Paul shot to international stardom after his appearance with Linda in Crocodile Dundee, which was a global smash hit.
The star was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his performance.
When Linda signed on to play the role of the journalist in the hit film, Paul was still married to his first wife, Noelene.
The pair had previously split after more than 20 years and divorced in 1981.
Less than a year later, the pair, who have five children together, remarried.
But they split again in 1986 after Paul fell in love with his much younger co-star on the set of Crocodile Dundee.
It was revealed in 2016 that Paul and Noelene didn’t speak for 17 years following their breakup.
Back in May, Linda was spotted on a rare outing with Paul, their son Chance and her longtime partner, Moulay Hafid Baba, in Los Angeles.

Chance has been living with his father in LA since his parents’ divorce.
After Linda split with Paul in 2013, she later left Hollywood altogether.
Her last screen appearance was in 2001 when she reprised her character of Sue Charlton for the final Crocodile Dundee film.
She told the Los Angeles Times in 1988 that she ended up being typecast by Hollywood casting directors after Crocodile Dundee, which she said was both a blessing and a curse.
‘After Crocodile Dundee, I turned down lots of stuff, most of it where I’d play the girlfriend of some funny man,’ she said.
In 2020, Paul spoke candidly about his failed marriages to Noelene Edwards and his Crocodile Dundee co-star.
The actor told The Daily Telegraph that both of his respective relationships ‘just wore out’ over the years.
‘I’m not much of a partner. I’m good early on, but after 20 or 30 years or so they get sick of me,’ Paul told the publication.
He added: ‘But you don’t go around explaining what worked and what didn’t, you just get over it.’
Paul, who was once employed as a lifeguard before his acting career, met his first wife Noelene at Granville Olympic swimming pool in Sydney in 1958.
The former couple got married when Paul was 19 and had three children by the time he was 23.
But he said he adores being a father, admitting despite having children at a young age, he ‘loved every minute of it.’
