Female college football fan labeled a Karen for furious reaction to rival in the stands… but was she right all along?
A female Georgia football fan has been labelled as a ‘Karen’ for her furious reaction to an Ole Miss fan sitting in the Bulldogs student section during the Sugar Bowl game.
On Thursday, the Bulldogs and the Rebels met at Caesars Superdome for the post-season clash – which Ole Miss won 39-34 after a thrilling fourth quarter comeback.
However, afterwards, fans were not discussing the game itself and, rather, were debating a viral video showing the Georgia fan in a heated argument with a rival.
Footage which emerged on social media showed the fan accosting an Ole Miss supporter after claiming that they were sat in the Georgia section of the stadium.
‘Why the f*** are you in our section? Get out!’, a friend was heard saying, before the female fan got involved and demanded to see their ticket and claimed they were being ‘f***ing obnoxious’.
After a brief back-and-forth, the woman removed herself from the situation before her friend quickly intervened again and told the rival fan they were ‘being annoying’.

Some fans online claimed there were a disproportionate amount of Ole Miss fans in attendance
The interaction was filmed by another Rebels fan sat beside them and quickly went viral on social media, with many fans ripping into the ‘Karen’ Georgia fan.
However, internet sleuths have since pointed out that she was in fact in the right over the seating dispute.
Due to the fact the game was played at a ‘neutral’ stadium, both Georgia and Ole Miss were allocated specific sections and a limited amount of tickets for their fans.
But, shortly after kickoff, some fans claimed that there was a disproportionate amount of Ole Miss supporters inside Caesars Superdome.
Other footage shared from the day appeared to show large portions of the stadium, which were intended for Georgia students, packed out with Ole Miss fans.
However, despite that, it didn’t stop fans online from ripping into the ‘Karen’.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: ‘HR Karen soon’.
‘She really thought she did something when she walked off,’ another wrote.
‘Can you show me your ticket [laughing emojis],’ one said. ‘Georgia fans are truly the worst people in the world,’ wrote another.
