Make sure to check in on your fangirl friends — a lot is happening in the Harry Styles fandom right now. In case you somehow missed it, the pop superstar first began teasing his yet-to-be-announced fourth studio album last month when he dropped a surprise eight-minute-long music video officially saying goodbye to the Harry’s House era.
He then launched a mysterious new website on Monday — with fans encouraged to join a WhatsApp group chat — and digital billboards with the text “We belong together” popped up in major cities around the world. Different posters also included tiny subtext phrases like “See you very soon”, “Here we go again”, and “Let in the light” — potential song lyrics?!
Things got even spicier on Thursday when HSHQ (Harry Styles headquarters) texted the aforementioned group chat a five-second audio file of Styles singing the words “We belong together”.
So what does it all mean?!
What is Harry Styles about to announce?
One can easily assume that Styles’ cryptic clues are all leading up to the announcement of HS4 and the release of a new lead single.
The former One Direction singer actually did a similar rollout in 2019 when billboards reading “DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?” and “TPWK” (“Treat People With Kindness”) appeared before he announced his second album, Fine Line. A mysterious website also launched in 2022 ahead of the release of his third album, Harry’s House, so fans think they’ve seen this film before.
However, there’s also speculation that the announcement could include a world tour, which would be HUGE if true. Page Six has already gone ahead and claimed that the “As It Was” singer will be returning to Madison Square Garden in New York City for his second residency later this year. It’s unclear exactly how long he will be performing at MSG, but the publication reports that he will be there “for a significant chunk of time”.
And let’s not forget that radio host Brendan “Fev” Fevola said in August that a “very, very close confidant” of Styles told him the singer will be heading Down Under in 2026 following the release of his next album.
“I’ve got some hot press,” Fev said on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick. “It was word of mouth, straight from a very, very close confidant… He’ll be touring Australia next year. 100 per cent coming to Australia. It’s huge news.”
When will Harry Styles make his announcement?
On top of all of Styles’ official announcements via his social media channels, a mysterious online countdown popped up last month that ends at 4:40pm AEDT on Thursday, January 15. AKA TODAY, PEOPLE.
But before you get too excited, it’s unclear exactly how legit this countdown is. The website has the text “Forever, Forever” — which was the title of his recently announced music video — as well as links to his record label, Sony Music. However, it also links to the Instagram account @webelongtogethr.co, which has over 115,000 followers but is very much giving fan account.
Regardless of the countdown, it’s very likely that Styles will announce something this week based on his history. When mysterious posters popped up in 2019, fans only had to wait two days before the lead single “Lights Up” was released. Same with Harry’s House — the album was cryptically teased on social media four days before it was officially announced.
So stay tuned for an official announcement from the man himself, but mark my words, something big is about to happen.
