Ruination for jailed Florida nurse, 35, who was sexually abusing stepson, 15, when husband walked in

A disgraced nurse caught sexually assaulting her 15 year-old stepson by her husband has had her nursing license revoked and is getting a divorce.
Alexis Von Yates, 35, was jailed in September after pleading no contest to a charge of lewd and lascivious battery.
The mother of two was stripped of her nursing license last month after an October hearing between the state Board of Nursing and her attorney, Ocala News reported.
Florida health officials had originally issued an order of suspension against her last April, saying at the time her behavior fell below agreed standards of good moral character.
After finishing his shift as a lineman in July 2024, Von Yates’s husband, Frank, walked in on his wife sexually assaulting his son. Last month, Marion County court records showed that he had filed for divorce, according to Ocala News.
Von Yates was arrested and charged with sexual battery of a minor in November 2024. She originally pleaded not guilty, before accepting a plea deal last August.
She was sentenced to two years in prison on a reduced charge, with two years of community control and ten years of sex offender probation. She must also sign the sex offenders’ registry.
The boy described in graphic detail to police how he and Von Yates had sex after spending an evening vaping cannabis oil before watching a movie while his father was at work.

Von Yates later confessed to Frank that the teenager reminded her of him, a police report said.
She also claimed the victim’s penis looked like a more youthful version of her husband’s.

The teenager had been in Ocala spending time with his father, step-mother and younger siblings at the time of the assault.
He told investigators that the pair heard the garage door open while they were having sex.
But the child said they did not stop, with Frank then walking in and shouting, ‘What the f**k’ is going on?’
His father was then said to have begun throwing objects, before branding Von Yates a ‘c***’ and a ‘child predator.’
The boy, who told police he was a virgin at the time, claimed she made a joke about him watching ‘step-mom pornos’ and her sexual appetite the week before the attack.
On the night of the assault, she started telling the teenager ‘how horny’ she was after not having sex for two weeks because she had been on her period.
The boy described in detail how Von Yates started kissing his neck, saying: ‘I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough.’
Von Yates then took off her underwear before engaging in oral sex and intercourse without the use of a condom, the teenager said.

Wearing a full face of makeup with a high neck black top, Von Yates appeared stony-faced as she refused to make any comment to the court during her sentencing
As his father walked in, the teenager told investigators he ran to the bathroom with his pants around his ankles.
The Daily Mail revealed in October that Von Yates and Frank had split.
The two wed in November 2017 in Lake Kerr, Marion County, according to a marriage record seen by the Daily Mail, and had two children.
At her sentencing, Von Yates appeared in a full face of makeup and remained stony-faced as she refused to make any comment to the court.
In a statement to the court, the mother of the boy described what happened to her son as making her ‘ill’ and derided Von Yates a ‘coward’.
She said: ‘You systemically manipulated, groomed, and sexually abused a child. Through your actions, and through your conduct since you have proven to be a coward.
‘There is nowhere you can go to escape the truth. For the rest of your life the world will see you for exactly what you are.
‘An incestuous pedophile who will forever only be remembered for what she took from a child.’
The Daily Mail has approached the Florida Department of Health for comment.
