Glamorous MAGA lawmaker, 70, filmed THROTTLING another woman during prison catfight

A former MAGA lawmaker sentenced for her part in an election fraud scheme was caught on camera brawling with another inmate inside a Colorado prison.

Tina Peters, the former Mesa County Clerk, was seen battling with another inmate inside La Vista Correctional Facility on Sunday evening.

The 70-year-old, who is serving nine years, was caught on camera wheeling a cart through a doorway inside the facility when another inmate approached her.

A door partially obscured what happened next, with Peters emerging with her hands at the other woman’s neck, pushing her backwards.

Seconds later the two split, with Peters returning to the cart and then leaving the room. Another inmate watched the whole thing but did not interrupt the melee.

In a statement shared to her X profile that provides updates from her legal team they claimed that Peters was assaulted and then placed in solitary confinement.

It said: ‘Tina was inside a maintenance closet to fill up a water unit when an inmate approached her in the closet and began striking her in anger.’

A spokesperson for the state Department of Corrections said that Peters and the other inmate were not injured, and that Peters was moved to another unit.

Peters statement continued: ‘Tina raised her hands and pushed the inmate away. Per Tina, the camera showed her pushing the inmate away from her out of the closet.

‘She was subsequently handcuffed, shackled, and brought to solitary. Tina was told she is being charged with Felony Assault for defending herself against an unprovoked attack.

‘She will be locked down completely for 24-72 hours and held in IDO (the hole) for an unknown period of time.

‘As far as Tina is aware, the inmate who assaulted her has not been charged, slept in their cell last night, and will face no consequences.

‘This incident is clearly a targeted attack against Peters. In all likelihood, it is being used as an opportunity to isolate and harass Tina Peters.

‘Tina has been warning officials that something like this would happen eventually. Something is not right at LVCF. Tina has minor injuries but is not seriously injured as of this morning.’

The Department of Corrections shot down the claim that she was held in solitary confinement, saying they do not utilize it in La Vista Correctional.

An investigation is also being carried out, with the moving of inmates while that is carried out being standard practice, the department said.

In October 2024 Peters was convicted on seven counts of engaging in a security breach through allowing unauthorized access to voting machines.

She used someone else’s security badge to give an expert affiliated with My Pillow chief executive Mike Lindell access to the Mesa County election system.

Lindell is a prominent promoter of claims that voting machines were manipulated to steal the election from Donald Trump.

Peters allowed Lindell to take a forensic image of the election system’s hard drives after a software update in May 2021.

The data shared by Peters was used by groups claiming voter fraud to call into question the integrity of Dominion voting machines after the 2020 election.

Former President Donald Trump praised Peters for her efforts after meeting her in 2022 at Mar-a-Lago, describing her as a ‘rock star.’

Last month he issued a symbolic pardon but Peters remains behind bars because she is in a state prison. Pardon powers apply only to federal prison.

The Trump administration has tried to have Peters moved from state to federal prison.

Peters’ attorneys argued she only wanted to preserve 2020 election data before a system software update was performed to help protect the integrity of the vote.

Prosecutor Janet Drake argued that Peters allowed a man posing as a county employee to take images of the election system’s hard drive before and after a software upgrade in May 2021.

Drake said Peters observed the update so she could become the ‘hero’ and appear at Lindell’s symposium on the 2020 presidential election a few months later.

Before her sentencing she addressed the court, rambling for nearly an hour about false claims regarding the election that continue to be propped up by conspiracy theorists.
