Seahawks fans left fearing the worst as star player suffers injury in practice four days before Super Bowl
Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori suffered an ankle injury during practice and was limited on Wednesday.
The injury comes just four days before Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots begins from the San Francisco Bay Area.
According to reports, Emmanwori hurt himself while defending a pass late in the day’s proceedings.
Fortunately, he was able to walk off the field under his own power. Multiple players and coaches came by to check up on him before he departed.
‘He had an ankle today,’ said head coach Mike Macdonald. ‘We brought him in to look at it and we’ll kind of go from here and figure out what are the next steps.’
As Macdonald hinted, the extent of Emmanwori’s injury has not been fully discovered just yet.
