Exclusive: Fashion East announces its AW26 line-up

Gird your loins: London Fashion Week is less than two weeks away. As well as all the usual suspects, AW26 will see the return of a few golden oldies. Joseph will show on schedule after nearly a decade, Temperley London returns for its 25th anniversary and Julien Macdonald is due to deliver his first catwalk in three years.

Of course, we’ll also get a heavy helping of what London is best known for: buzzy emerging graduate designers making their debuts – take Thevxlley and Petra Fagerström. A new season also means a new line-up for talent incubator Fashion East, which today (February 6) has revealed its exciting plans exclusively to Dazed.

After celebrating its 25th anniversary in style last season (with a Dazed cover and ICA takeover), Fashion East has welcomed Central Saint Martins graduate Traiceline Pratt and his brand GOYAGOMA, who will take part in its biannual show in two week’s time (February 20). Having worked under Phoebe Philo, Pratt has an impressive portfolio already, having won fans like A$AP Rocky and Justin Bieber. “The utmost respect and love to both Lulu [Kennedy] and Raphaelle [Moore] for welcoming me into their family and giving me this platform to speak,” Pratt tells us.

He joins designers Jacek Gleba and Louis Mayhew, who will return after making their Fashion East debuts last September. “Every season, doing the show feels like opening a window into our world for everyone to see. Very excited to show what we’ve been working on, and to see what Louis and Traiceline have prepared as well!” explained Gleba, with Mayhew adding: “Having the support of Fashion East this season means everything, I can’t wait to go again.”

The Fashion East show also moves to a new location this season, building upon its ongoing relationship with Nike by taking over the Nike x Palace community space, Manor Place, in south-east London.

Elsewhere in fashion this week, it was officially confirmed that former Alaïa designer Pieter Mulier is heading to Versace, taking over from Dario Vitale. We caught up with Italian menswear designer Luca Magliano, and picked all our favourite looks from the Grammys. Here’s everything else you need to catch up with…

Dover Street Market closed earlier this week to prepare for its biannual seasonal changeover, before reopening to the public today with new collections across all Commes des Garçons brands. You’ll also discover a range of new spaces, installations and special launches. If you’re yet to make weekend plans, why not pop into DSM?

Earlier this week, Timberland announced that it would be rereleasing two archive jackets from the brand’s history: the Granite State waterproof rain jacket and the Welch Mountain leather puffer, styles worn by Skepta and Spike Lee. Both styles featured in Timberland’s AW25 global campaign, Advice of an Icon, see here.

Tomorrow (Feb 7), Palace Skateboards is officially opening its first standalone store in Hong Kong, continuing its expansion across Asia. The store will be located at Causeway Bay, while its design takes inspiration from the former police station compound at Tai Kwun, specifically the historic Police Headquarters Block. Naturally, the brand will also release some Hong Kong-exclusive pieces to coincide with the opening.

For Alessandro Michele’s latest move, Maison Valentino has today unveiled its latest brand ambassador: 20-year-old American singer Sombr. It’s a big day for the musician, as he also releases his latest single “Homewrecker” with an accompanying video starring Quenlin Blackwell.
