If you tuned into Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl halftime show and wondered if the featured couple, dressed in full bridal getup, actually got married — I come bearing good news.
Turns out it was a real couple who joined Bad Bunny during his celeb-filled set, with the pop star’s publicist confirming the pair actually signed their nuptials and were legally married as millions of people, including Lady Gaga, looked on across the world.
ICYMI, the couple — who have yet to be identified — were first seen at the start of Bad Bunny’s halftime performance when the fiancé proposed to his bride-to-be in front of the stadium crowd.
An entire wedding sequence was then woven into the set, complete with an exchange of vows, a cake-cutting scene, and first kiss to officially seal the deal.
In between spotting cameos from Cardi B and Jessica Alba, a bunch of viewers flocked to social media to question whether the ceremony was legit.
Bad Bunny’s reps quickly confirmed its legitimacy in a press release, saying it “turned the moment into a joyful celebration unfolding in real time”, per NBC.
The story got even more wholesome when Bad Bunny provided the backstory that led the couple to the Super Bowl stage.
The story goes that the newlyweds invited Bad Bunny to perform at their wedding some time ago, with the singer instead offering them the chance to get married during his Super Bowl show. They took the opportunity and the rest lived on in holy matrimony.
It was one of multiple tidbits uncovered during Bad Bunny’s show. Alongside the famous faces — which also included Pedro Pascal, Karol G and Ricky Martin — fans also spotted a moment in which Bad Bunny gave a Grammy Award to a young boy.
That gesture was thought to be a nod to Liam Ramos, the 5-year-old boy recently detained by ICE in Minneapolis. The performance also spotlighted Toñita, who appeared briefly during the set and is famous in New York as the owner of Brooklyn’s Caribbean Social Club.
All the moments were bound by a performance that celebrated Latin heritage and called for unity and love.
A banner appeared behind Bad Bunny at one point during the performance that read, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.” He was also seen holding a football with the inscription, “Together we are America”.
Leave it to Bad Bunny to prove all the naysayers wrong, legally marry a real-life couple, and bless us with a Pascal sighting in one fell swoop. Oh, the man you are!
